Qur’an lessons, taught in fluent English.
I’m Bekir — born in England to a Turkish Cypriot family, twenty years in Malaysia. I teach children and adults to read the Qur’an in the language they actually think in.
Sounding out the letters is not the same as reading them.
It is the most common thing I hear. A child in Zurich, London or Dubai sits with a teacher whose English they half understand, and the lesson becomes repetition without meaning. An adult who came to the Qur’an later gets the same treatment, and is often too embarrassed to say so.
I teach in English, properly — explaining, questioning, correcting, joking — while the Qur’an itself stays in Arabic, taught with the tajweed it deserves.
One student, one teacher
Never a group. A full hour, once or twice a week, at a time that suits you.

Gulf students on weekday afternoons. Europe and the UK on weekend mornings. Shown in your own local time when you book.
No one starts too late
Plenty of my students are adults who never had the chance as children. Parents of younger students are welcome to sit in on any lesson, without asking.
“It is the sessions with Ustaz Bekir that our children look forward to most every week.”
